This is a personal blog run by Makoto, a former manufacturing company employee who transitioned to the IT industry at the age of 29.
Who I Am
I currently live in Okayama Prefecture and work at a system integrator (SIer).
I used to work at a manufacturing company until I turned 29, then made a career change and moved to Tokyo.
After spending five years in Tokyo, I transferred to Okayama in 2024 and now work remotely or make business trips as needed.
What I Write About
This blog covers a variety of topics including:
- My experience with mental health (adjustment disorder)
- My career change from a manufacturing job to an IT company
- My journey toward monetizing this blog
- Travel stories, especially domestic trips
- Reviews of products purchased on Amazon
It’s a mixed-content blog so I post freely about whatever I find interesting or helpful.
Purpose of This Blog
The main goal is to generate side income through Google AdSense and affiliate marketing.
But more than that, I hope my experiences and information can help someone out there who’s going through something similar.
Also, I simply enjoy writing and sharing what I’ve learned or felt.
About the Blog Title “FukuLab”
“Fuku” means “luck” or “happiness” in Japanese.
“Lab” represents a space for exploration and creation.
So, FukuLab is a place where I can explore, experiment, and hopefully bring a little luck and inspiration to others.
Meet Shushu, the Mascot
The blog’s mascot is my beloved toy poodle, ChouChou.
ChouChou often appears in blog headers and social media icons.
Feel free to think of this blog as a cozy little room shared by me and Chouchou.
